In The Ten Commandments (1956), Debra Paget plays Lilia, a gentle Hebrew slave who represents the suffering Moses longs to end. Yvonne De Carlo portrays Sephora, Moses’s loyal Midianite wife. Charlton Heston stars as Moses, torn between his royal Egyptian life and Hebrew roots. Esther Brown appears briefly as Princess Tharbis of Ethiopia. Debra Paget (born Debralee Griffin, August 19, 1933) is a retired American actress best known for her roles in The Ten Commandments (1956), Love Me Tender (1956), and The Indian Tomb (1959). A 20th Century-Fox star, she rose to fame in biblical epics and Westerns. Her exotic dance in The Indian Tomb became iconic. Paget retired in 1965 and later became a Christian TV host. She received the Golden Boot Award in 1987 for her work in Westerns.

Yvonne De Carlo (1922–2007) was a Canadian-American actress, singer, and dancer. A 1940s–50s film star and Technicolor icon, she rose to fame in Salome, Where She Danced (1945) and starred in The Ten Commandments (1956) as Sephora, Moses’ wife. Known later as Lily Munster in The Munsters TV series, she also starred on Broadway in Follies. De Carlo earned two Hollywood Walk of Fame stars and wrote a memoir, Yvonne. She passed away in 2007 at age 84.
