Tina Turner (1939–2023) was an American singer, actress, and author, hailed as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll.” She rose to fame with Ike & Tina Turner in the 1960s, then launched a solo career with the hit album Private Dancer (1984), featuring “What’s Love Got to Do with It.” Her chart-topping songs include “The Best,” “GoldenEye,” and “We Don’t Need Another Hero.” Turner starred in Tommy, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, and Last Action Hero.
