Kim Novak (born Marilyn Pauline Novak on February 13, 1933) is an American actress and painter, celebrated as one of Hollywood’s most iconic leading ladies of the 1950s. Renowned for her performances in Vertigo (1958), Bell, Book and Candle (1958), and Jeanne Eagels (1957), she earned both a Golden Globe and a Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement. A major star under Columbia Pictures, Novak later appeared in films such as The Mirror Crack’d and the TV series Falcon Crest before retiring from acting to devote herself to her lifelong passion for art and painting.
